For more than sixty years, Benjamin Pearlman has taught students of every ability — with patient, specialized methods for those on the autism spectrum and with developmental differences. Music meets each person where they are, and gives them a way to be heard.
The keyboard doesn’t ask where you started. It asks only that you play — and every student, in their own time and their own hands, learns that they can.

Benjamin Pearlman has been performing and teaching piano since the age of sixteen. Over sixty years he has developed a way of teaching that reaches every kind of learner — including specialized methods for students on the autism spectrum and with developmental delays, meeting each one with patience and music.
The gift runs in the family. Benjamin is the son of Eve Pearlman, a piano teacher, and Leonid Solomon Pearlman, director of the Odessa Conservatory of Music (1938–1963) and an early champion of braille sheet music for blind musicians. During the Second World War, Leonid helped defend Odessa for four months and trained soldiers in the proper handling of their weapons. Three generations, one conviction: that anyone can be brought to the music.
